Portland Garden Club Inc.
The purpose of the Portland Garden Club, established in 1947, is to promote interest and activity in all forms of gardening, encourage education that will lead to a keener appreciation of the advantages of garden development, and use this knowledge for the betterment of the community. We are members of The Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut, Inc., The National Garden Clubs, Inc., and The New England Region of National Council of State Garden Clubs.
Our club meetings are generally held the first Wednesday of the month at 1 p.m.

Hemlock Grange
The mission of the Connecticut State Grange, a fraternal organization with roots
in rural and agricultural history and the Grange ritual, is to serve as a unifying and supportive organization of community and district Granges in programs of community service, family activities, legislation, and other activities relevant to local communities.

Brownstone Quorum
The Brownstone Quorum, Inc. is an outgrowth of an informal group of Portland residents who gathered in late 1999 following the Town's acquisition of the brownstone quarries and riverfront property. The group's goal was to provide assistance and support to the town government as they determined the ultimate use of these properties.

Friends of the Portland Library
The Friends of the Portland Library proudly support and promote the Portland Library by informing town residents of resources and services the Library provides; by securing materials and sponsoring special projects for the Library; and, by encouraging donations to enhance cultural and educational opportunities afforded to the residents of Portland through the Library.

Knights of Columbus
Firmly founded upon the principles of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism, the Saint Mary Knights of Columbus Council #7 is dedicated to accomplish a wide range of activities for the good of the parish, community, council, family and youth. The Knights of Columbus share their time and talents working together to benefit their church and local community.
